TVE - Rejected the bid for Juve Llorente: too low. Here is what Athletic Bilbao want.

According to the Spanish broadcaster TVE, the bid for Juventus Fernando Llorente would be too low. The 16 million euros Juventus offered by the leadership would not be enough to carry off the Spanish striker dall'Athletic Bilbao. The Basque club had therefore refused the proposal received from Turin and would have demanded 18 million euros plus 4 bonus to leave as his flagship. The news - picked up by colleagues from Sky Sports - has bounced back from Spain in the evening.
Is the bonus incentive laden, or are they looking for the additional 4 million right away as some sort of a golden handshake?

Cagliari wanted way too much for someone of Nainggolan's quality.

Behrami came out and said in the winter market that he wouldn't leave Fiorentina to join their biggest rival.
But doesn't this, or price issues come in the way of a lot of our negotiations in particular? Haven't we come to accept: the selling club is being unreasonable with their pricing so there's nothing Marrotta can do, or the player doesn't wnt to cove to Juve so there's nothing Marrotta can do, or a player's wages cost too much, so there's nothing Marrotta can do.

I feel like the truth about his abilities lies somewhere between the bouquets and the brickbats.

And I know you may not agree with me here, but if at the start of the transfer window, I was to tell you, that we were going to end up with Llorente, then 90 pct of us would've been disappointed. The sheer enthusiasm to a signing like this shows our resignation and acceptance either of our situation and/or the inability of the man in charge to get the job done. That is, sign a player to help package our image among Europe's elite.

If 18M plus 4M is what Bilbao wants and Marotta is hesitant to pay that I would be very dissapointed. Even if he is willing, I don't see any obstacle for Arsenal, City or even Tottenham outbidding us. I just hope he does not spend money on Pazzini. We are fine like this.
