If this deal is confirmed, we urgently need to assess who we want as full backs next year. As pointed out above (by Bianconero a.o.), the fullbacks will be crucial in providing width. Molinaro, Grygera and half a Zebina are not good enough for this task.

Of course. I think both parties find a nice agreement. We sign a top player for a decent price and offload a player who clearly had no future here.

For Fiorentina, getting 20M + Marchionni is better than 25 MEUR cash, because I don't think they can find an experienced, Serie A winger who knows the coach for less than 5 MEUR. Marchionni is talented no matter what some here believe. He didn't succeed with us, but he could be a good asset for Fiorentina.

Hehe Indeed, had the same thing with friends who usually tease me about Juve, even those who dislike Juve, are complimenting Juve bit overconfidently (the Serie A fans knew him, but the others only saw him in confed, and were really impressed). I dont want to be a party pooper, but I tell them even if its confidence boosting signing, that it means little if we dont sign quality fullbacks.
