Melo is Bianconero Wednesday 8 July, 2009

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fiorentina ace Felipe Melo is a Juventus player after the Bianconeri agreed to pay his £20m payout clause, a report from La Gazzetta dello Sport reveals.

The Old Lady has been linked to the Brazilian for a while now and since Gaetano D’Agostino is no longer in their plans, Melo represents a valuable investment.

According to La Gazzetta, the Bianconeri will see their expenditure costs reduced by the departure of Marco Marchionni, who joined La Viola for £2m, and perhaps Zdenek Grygera, who may move to Florence in the coming weeks.

Meanwhile, the Tuscans are planning to reinvest the money received from Juve to buy a new central midfielder.

Christian Ledesma is one of the main names on their lists. Pantaleo Corvino is set to meet up with Claudio Lotito by the end of next week.

The Biancocelesti are asking for £12m although the Gigliati could negotiate a lower tag fee for the Argentine player

For Arsenal fans this turned out to be a Melo-drama.

The acquisition is key to making us a scudetto winning force.

Now all we need is Fabio Grosso in place at LB and for some sale proceeds to be utilized to get one of the Lazio RB's, hopefully Lichtsteiner.

We are now closing in on a near perfect transfer window.

Ticket sales at the Olimpico should now show dramatic sales increases.

Just out of curiosity, how much would Grosso cost?

1.). Close thread? :snoop:

2.). I'm worried about the money. Was it a big ploy by the board to make us think we didn't have the money? I hope we aren't in debt now as we had a "financial plan"

Taken from the channel four football italia site...it is looking official now, but still I feel too afraid to celebrate the capture of a player who alongside marchisio, momo and diego, could well form not only our own midfield for the next 5 years, but one of the finest midfields in the game.

Obviously, we need defensive reinforcements. Especially at left back...that is a bare minimum, and we could do with santacroce, to play apprentice to canna and legro.

The new shirt will be presented this afternoon.
After the presentation, there will be a press conference with Blanc and Ferrara....

On Wednesday 8th July, in fact the new jerseys for the 2009/10 season will be presented.

The event will take place at 17:00hrs at the Officine Grandi Riparazioni in Turin. Much is the curiosity with regards to the new gear of Del Piero and company. Those subscribed to Juventus Channel will be able to follow the event live.

At the end of the presentation general manager Jean-Claude Blanc and coach Ciro Ferrara will hold a press conference to inaugurate the new season.

What will happen now?? Fiorentina will get D'Agostino for that money, who under Prandelli will turn to be a world class player, in addition Prandelli will get the best out of Marchionni, who'll constantly threaten our flanks!!
