I think we are all obligated to say Melo - He is a Gobbo now !

Given how he played against us, I think we've signed a great player who's had a few solid seasons in Italy and will add something to the team.

Welcome m8... it's was his first season in italy ;).. but he did it great. The only bad thing about him this year was his bad temper. Besides that he had a good season. And before that I heard that he was the best/ on of the best players in Almeria

Gio is not a forward
DP is class bit getting older
Iq is never going to score more than low 10's
Amuri flatters to deceive, can he score 15 goals?

Trez, alas, will leave (I hope not).
Iaq got 15 goals in all comps, and how many games did he start? couldnt have been more than 20? Thats a pretty damn good ratio (if its about 20 started games)

Amauri needs service, this season he will get it. I expect another 12-15 goals from the big man. His 2nd half of the season dip though was weird though.

I agree Iq could come good, but the dip was more of a free-fall from Amauri and that troubles me.

I hope Trez stays and plays.

People should be hanged for using overused, boring and inevitably annoying jokes that they found on the internet. Fucking uncreative twats.

No offense meant towards you of course Czar :)

Guys, can someone remind me what was the Arsenal offer for Melo?? With a link to the sourse if possible...im having an argument with an Arseenal fan on another forum:)
I think the offer didn't go public so one could doubt that one had been made. At least I didn't hear of any.

He got his way in though ahead of Trez, even though Ranieri and Trez didnt get on. Iaq took his chance when he got it. Kept Gio out aswell. He did well did Iaq in the 2nd half of the season.

Anyone think Melo will wear no.88 for us? He wore that at Viola didn't he?

This from the London Evening Standard, last month:-

Wenger's back with £15m for fiery Felipe

By Simon Jones Last updated at 1:43 AM on 17th June 2009
Arsenal are preparing a renewed £15m bid for Fiorentina's midfielder Felipe Melo.
The fiery Brazilian has been tracked by Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger for the past three years, since he was playing in Spain with lowly Almeria. He moved to Fiorentina last summer, quickly earning a reputation as a robust midfielder with an eye for goal. In his first season he collected 17 yellow cards and three reds.

Arsenal made enquiries in December and followed up with a tentative offer in January but were told the 25-year-old wasn't for sale. Inter Milan have since come in with an offer, which is reported to be £15million plus defender Nicolas Burdisso, yet Melo would prefer Arsenal.
