Gatti-Juventus: the situation between contract and future:

Gatti has a long contract, until 2028, but, negotiations between Juve and his agent to extend it has suffered a major slowdown and he could possibly be on the market in the summer.
Napoli are interested and if they made an offer of around €30M, Juve would likely accept.

I wish we had this attitude with other players approaching the end of their contract: Dybala, Chiesa and Vlahovic spring to mind.

Someone ELI5 why the club would want to extend him after recently extending him already to 2028.

Or is this just jOUrNaLiSm?
Yeah player is ok to renew, club waits to see if they're gonna be playing in CL next year, that makes the club ok to hear for offers.
Makes total sense

The club must think the guy is the next Cannavaro

While the club could've invested in Bastoni in 2019 or Buongiorno or Calafiori all before they blew up.

Brilliant work by the club regardless of who is at the helm
