Wow, lots of replies but I've been busy at work and didn't have time to check the forum. What I've meant to say was that he has that raw grinta and never say die attitude which Chiellini had. And yes he is a bit clumsy at the times but he is a monster defensively and lately he has made few to zero mistakes.

With Bremer back I can see them becoming a world class duo like Chiellini and Bonucci were in their prime. We just need to fix the rest of our gaps in defense because in all honesty our GK and LB are miles behind what Evra/AS and Buffon were when Chiellini and Bonucci were partnering. Regardless of how good Gatti and Bremer will be, without fixing those gaps they will be constantly exposed and mistakes are inevitable at some point. Like the Milan match when Di Gregorio fucked up and Gatti took part of the blame.

His awareness is fairly poor, which leads to poor positioning. I see him as a rotational player in the future but not WC and not a starting player. Too inconsistent and lapses of poor decision making every now and then during a game.

He can use that never say die or whatever attitude when he is finishing another construction site.
Once Bremer gets back he hits the bench hard.

Bremer and Kalulu and probably Hancko, damn, it'd even clear the management doesn't trust him, thus the interest in Araujo and Hancko.
Gatti has been outperforming Kalulu all season. We should invest our money in other areas such as ST with Vlahovic leaving, instead of buying another starting CB. Even if we get Kolo Muani for another loan, we will still need a back-up and Milik should not be that back-up. Also we will need to pay up for Di Gregorio, Conceicao and Nicolas Gonzales. And I think we would be out of money at that point.

To get a better CB than Gatti you would have to spend at least 30-40 mil. I don't think it's worth it given our other gaps.

I've watched 90% of Juve's matches this season and to my humble eye Gatti seemed to be similarly solid defensively to Kalulu but he's been undeniably better in offence and forward runs. Both have 1 goal scored but Gatti has 2 assists vs Kalulu's 0. His leadership abilities are also much higher than Kalulu's and his aerial threat at set peices is also superior.

Also his overall Match rating is 6.79 on Whoscored.com vs 6.64 for Kalulu.

Please don't bring whoscored ratings as an argument, this site has one of the most bullshit ratings I ever seen.
The problem with Gatii is not his rating, nor even his stats, but the fact that he is clumsy as fuck when defending. He can do well for most of the game stat wise, but he is out of position so many times, he misses crucial headers.
I can't understand how can we even debate this after one good game when he made like 5 or more crucial errors in the last 5 games and few of them were already goal costing mistakes. He is Torino level player and yes I agree we would be then dreaming of him here, but once he joins a big club he would be exposed. Mancini level for me, nothing more.

Damn, Gatti in the company of Bellingham and Vinicius in the team of the week.

In the meantime Giuntoli is hanging out with @Robee and Alberto Costa rubbing each other in the mud during Juve games.

The one player i was hoping would be money hungry and fuck off actually puts the club first.

He is average at best..wouldnt warm the bench in the lippi (both stints), conte or allegri (first stint) eras....im certain the brick wall and fences he has built over the years are already showing signs of cracks.
