he was benched until we had no other choice but play him every game

with all these injuries it's not an easy task to rotate and get results. we don't have two players for most positions, let alone two quality ones. motta isn't doing a good job, and at the same time his job is becoming borderline impossible. i think that he'll get fired eventually, and it won't entirely be his fault
Well, he can blame we loose with Naples or Benfica on this, but now he has some easy games which are must wins. I'm still rooting for him to turn this around and win next games. The biggest problem is the attack though, we look totally toothless lately.

So this guy is getting a raise, wonder what will be his new salary and why we are actually doing it since he has a contract until 2028. He currently earns almost the same wages as Kalulu. I just hope we are not offering him anything beyond 2m net - he currently earns 1.4m according to capology.

If he gets only 1.4 then it's obvious he wants a raise considering the role he's currently having - playing 90 minutes in every game. I think even 2.5-3m is a fair expectation on his part.

i get that jj must pay some premium over fiorentina or bologna. gatti would never earn 2m anywhere else though, even if he had to play 35 league games

offering long and large contracts must stop. that's how you make players literally unsellable. and let's be honest, gatti is no chiellini, very far from it

According to Capology, there are 15 CBs that earn at least 2M net per season in Serie A and not many of them are clearly superior to Gattone. That's why I don't think anything between 2-3M is something outrageous for a starting Juventus defender.

Not to mention EPL where he could receive at least a few offers.

He's an absolute beast. Easily top 5 defenders in the league right now. Blocks everything and rarely misses a tackle. Extending him to 2029 would be the first sensible decision I've seen from this club in the last few months.

Yes, it's funny. If some Premfags want to buy 30-40 million for him, ciao.

After all, we're bringing in Handjob from Feyenoord (not convinced by him, but Cuntoli seems to have a hard on for him), and with Kalulu, Handjob, Bremer and Cabal back from injury, we can afford to Plusvalenza this bricklayer.

Cabal is a Left-Back and should not be included in the conversation. Then I don't see why we would buy Hancko when we have Gatti, Kalulu and Bremer. It's not like his contract is expiring and we can get him on the cheap. PSV will most likely ask 40-50 mil for him. We can't get that amount for Gatti and then we run into the risk of Hancko not adapting to Serie A.

I'd rather we keep Gatti, Kalulu and Bremer and play them based on availability/form. Plus Gatti can also play RB and all 3 can play in a 3 man defense if the new coach will want to emply that system.

Lastly, he's a leader on and off the pitch. That's a quality you don't have in Hancko/Kalulu.

Terrible performance.

I don't like this new thing he is doing where he tries to flick the ball with his foot at the side instead of getting his body in the correct position and clearing it. It cost us against Benfica and nearly did today too.
