Defensively, he's looked solid as a rock but the fact that we are relying on this guy to play out from the back is a bit concerning. Against better teams, this could become a glaring weakness.

We will know where he stands when he'll be coming up against the likes of Haaland, Bernardo Silva, Foden etc in a couple of months time.

lion jinxed him into a boss performance. i didn't see the whole match but i don't remember a bad pass or a lost duel from him, pretty solid tonight
He had one really, really, bad pass that almost ended up at their striker that acres of space to attack into. Got really lucky their striker made a technical error. Otherwise, very strong start I agree.

dovbyk was the top scorer in la liga last season, he isnt exactly a random jabroni.

Here's the thing. We all laugh at him but how many CBs win a duel by chesting the ball down then slaloming attackers and drawing a yellow? If he was Gattinho he'd be 90 million

City play with a whole different intensity level compared to Roma though so it would be a huge test for the likes of Gatti and Bremer.

We haven't played many elite teams for the last 3-4 seasons.
