whether it was an offside offence is debatable. since the deflected ball came from ndicka, the question is whether ndicka deliberately played the ball. they might have judged that ndicka didn't gain possession of the ball, so it's actually iling's attempted pass that mattered, and in that case, chiesa was offside. i'm not mad at the refs, it was probably the good decision.
You could see flashes of old Chiesa in this game. You can see him getting frustrated though, he was flapping his arms around like Ronaldo. That was partly due to a succession of small dodgy ref calls.
Obviously needs to be more clinical when he manages to get get his shots away but overall has been playing quite well lately, involved and always looking to create and make something happen in the final third.
