One and half years left on contract, is he going to renew? His performances don't merit higher wages imo but he shouldn't be second closest to goal, better if he's 3rd most attacking player. Ronaldo-Dybala ahead of him was best combo but we would need 2 additional top class forwards for that.

He had two very good chances to close the game out(gift from Genoa keeper and then later on another low cross from Weah which found Chiesa alone in a good position to shoot from inside the box but in both occasions he was just completely wasteful and lacking any sort of killer instinct, which what worries me is that lately it’s seemingly becoming the norm for him rather than the exception.

He is still our best attacking player though and does bring a lot of positives to our game also but he absolutely needs to be more clinical, no two ways about it.
