If you can cash 80M from Chiesa and Soulé, you just do that. The game is won on defense and midfield. Calafiori and Koopmeiners are priority over keeping Chiesa.
You need creative players upfront to create chances and score goals as well though. I do consider Calafiori a generational talent but I sure wouldn't sacrifice Chiesa for Koopmeiners though.

when you are juventus and you get a player like Chiesa you keep him unless he demands to leave or you get an insane offer.

who the F is it you think this club will buy that is better than chiesa?

Not sure but Chiesa has never performed consistently for Juventus. If he is not indispensable for the new coach or for the previous coach, or if he is not demanded by any top tier team, perhaps he is just overhyped. I rate Chiesa as a great player, but his greedness after his injury and failing to perform for years give the club all rights to get rid of him.

Look at the haters / doubters here continue to publicly humiliate themselves. Really sick sick shit.
23/24: 37 games last season 10 goals 3 assists
22/23: 33 games 4 goals 6 assists
21/22: 18 games 4 goals 4 assists
20/21: 46 games 15 goals 11 assists

he had one good season. ONE...... 4 seasons ago. since then his performances have not warranted money he wants. you can't pay someone because they had good season 5 years ago. he's no different than any lolzillian that has one good season and then poof. if his name was chiesinho and was from brazil woulld you want him to get pay raise? nah

News Federico Chiesa | He’s also on the shortlist of FC Bayern!

Juventus, open to extend his contract beyond 2025. But the 26 y/o winger is focused on the Euros now. Decision after the tournament.

Understand: a transfer is possible in the summer as he has many inquiries.

Expected price valuation at this stage: €30-40m.

Bayern is a lot more appealing than Roma or Napoli in theory, especially because he speaks English.

But they already have Sane, Coman, Gnabry, Tel, and Musiala. At least 1 player would need to be going out, and it may be more competition than Chiesa is looking for if he leaves Juve.

Stay in Italy at Roma or Napoli and you're one of the faces of the club in your native country. Go to Bayern and you're a foreigner that is just one of many talented players competing for a starting job.

I'm pretty sure both Coman and Gnabry are goners, so Chiesa would take one of their spots.
Coman, maybe. I don't think Gnabry is going to leave. He's getting big wages playing for one of the biggest clubs in the world in his home country. Why leave? The same could be said about Goretzka.

But here's the kind of hypothetical I'd consider if I'm Chiesa and his camp. There is probably a more than solid chance that Florian Wirtz signs with Bayern next summer. Meaning Musiala and Wirtz will take 2 of the 4 spots in attack with Kane at striker. That would leave Chiesa competing with the likes of Sane, maybe Coman/Gnabry, Mathys Tel, and whatever other players they sign between now and next summer for 1 starting position. Competition will be tough.

Is that something he wants to do, or would he rather be a no doubt starter at one of these clubs in Serie A? I dont know the answer to that. But he wouldnt be walking into Bayern Munich as an undisputed starter from day 1, or long term.

His end product ain't that pretty but I would say he is the kind of player about whom stats can't tell the whole story.

i agree with you both that goal+ assists stats aren't everything. thats very important for a central midfielder where a lot of dirty work and running is done.

but there is no way stats are not important when you are one of 2 main stars of attack. there is no excuse for not having high goals and assists. and there is no excuse for demanding higher wages when your goals + assists tally is low. it's his job to score and assist. if he is not doing it who will? you want gatti to score goals?

Ya Manyak. His actual position is on the wing, and if a winger scores once every 4 games, that's acceptable.

He also provides assists, but what if a turd nugget like Kean misses an absolute sitter, or Vlahovic has an off day? There goes another assist.

We played anti-football for years under Failegri, so stats for attacking players are always going to be less than flattering, especially when you have a limp dick flaccid midfield comrpised of a Benign Baguette French Faggot, an Italian Suckatelli Meatball, and a Tex Mex Burrito.
