man where did it all go wrong for him?

he was really good and promising young player for fiorentina and azzurri. he was prettty decent in his first season here too before his injury. looked like he would be at very least a good reliable squad player. he had it all....in ways he still does. he's a big, he's strong, decent pace and technique. his decision making is absolutely horrible though. thats whats letting him down.

in a way he's very comparable to amauri. amauri also looked good for palermo and started well for juve, and then poof.

i hope he regains his form. this team would be so much better if he can regain his 2017 form.

I'd say he had a really promising first year with Allegri with 10 G+A in 22 games. Never amazing is fair but I'd say he was quite often a stand out rather than a liability as he is now

He had a goal or assist every 100 minutes in his first season here... but mostly in substitute appearances, so take that with a grain of salt.

I think he’s had two issues since then. Gained a substantial amount of muscle mass and looks slower, can no longer beat his man (at Viola and his first season here, he use bursts of pace to run past defenders at least occasionally even if he wasn’t Dougie C). And his decision making has gotten truly atrocious. That first season when he was on he usually made a good choice between pass/shoot. Since then he almost always chooses the more difficult option and flubs it badly.

Berna was always someone who attempted difficult passes with a low success rate but lately his poor form seems to have gone to his head and its really fucking with him.

He is not the most skillfull he is mostly athleticism.

I didn't say what bench. I am certain there are plenty of wonderful parks in Turin with benches he can sit, watch the birds, and contemplate why his career stalled when moving to a big club. He can write a book about it.

It would be interesting to see how much of those 30% actually forced a save from the keeper. I would say the majority where lame shots that a blindfolded keeper would save.
