The penalty certainly won’t hurt his value, and his confidence hopefully. He always had a good technique shooting or crossing the ball, but wasn’t expecting him to be confident enough taking such a important penalty.

Bernardeschi's not a bad player. It's just that when he would play his favourite position at Juventus, he'd be expected to score 15 goals and give 10 assists. He's never going to come up with those numbers. On the other hand he's not the type of player who compensates for his lack of statistics with his workrate or physique. I can see why he 'failed' at Juventus.

He could be a useful bench player if he could come up with half that, but hes been shockingly bad for us
