The WC issue is greater than just the talent. Actually it’s a systemic issue between the national squads then add to it all the foreigners allowed in Italy and the Italian player gets lost in translation. I think when Italy had the 7 stranieri rule and the teams where comprised of most Italians the national team was strong. ItalJuve was always the back none of the azzurri we always had the most players representing and the national team flourished. Now it’s a hogepodge mess with no direction
