I hope he improves here, because this is a massive operpayment. But we sold Bonucci cheap so it all balances out in the end :beppe:
Yep, the transfer fee is very heavy. Wages are so-so, good thing is that it's a 5 year deal so no need for a new contract early.

I hope he can pull a new Camo for us. I think he has potential to be quite good but I think it's silly to pay so much for him at this point. I also think it's quite sad we're spending so much money on him while we're not gonna play him as AMC which suits him the best.

Unless he asks to leave next season and we have to convince him to stay :beppe:

Why is it a massive overpayment ?
He has potential but he's still unproven, he has 1 year left, he won't renew and he wants to sign for us. Just imagine that things were reversed and we were selling him to Bayern. How much would we have gotten? I'd say around 30m.

He's a massive talent that will leave to the EPL if we dont continue with these terms

But here is the deal. You simply pay extra for italians. Cause they are less likely to fuck off abroad. Cause they know you prefer to have them. Cause we are a rival in fiorentina's eyes

There is no indication of any serious interest from abroad for him. You didn't answer the question, how much would Beppe have gotten in the reverse situation?

How is this an overpayment, the price we're paying for him is just what the market conditions dictate nowadays. Can't expect a half decent player to cost only 25m today, even though that price would hold more merit in a non-inflated world.

Those 2 situations are mutually exclusive, Beppe might have sold for less, but you can't take him as the gold standard, especially when dealing with bitter rivals.

I already explained that several times. Yes, prices are high nowadays, especially for young players. But he has 1 year left, he doesn't want to renew and he wants us. No serious interest from abroad, he doesn't want to go to Inter, so if Fiorentina don't sell him to us now, it's very likely that they will lose him for free next summer.

Perhaps it's Fiorentina's ego, that they'd rather let him go for free next year than to let him go for cheap to us. Imagine the consequences and revolt of their fans, if they see him getting sold for peanuts to their most hated rival. I think they would probably be able to live with a transfer free situation than the aforementioned

Fiorentina doesnt want to sell the player to us.

If we dont want to sell a player, we simply reject the offer. Like we did with chelsea's 70 mil.

Reports of Viola might give him another 1-2 days off in order to avoid him going to their training camp.
They don't want the fans vs Berna mess to distract the team when they know he's leaving anyway.

It should be done by tommorow, maybe today.

Some reports saying he might be joining the team in US tour with Rugani who will come back over the weekend and probably fly to US.
