this one says that figc have asked juve not to go to the tar and in return they will give us any amount of compensation
Does anyone know how much?
Anyway, it is quite interesting because by providing financial compensation FIGC is implicitly acknowledging that the senteces given to Juve is unfair.
And their willingness to compromise show, to certain extent, that we do have genuine chance of winning, as Isha emphasized in the past posts.
Obviously, we have to look at the possibility of realistically winning the TAR, and weigh it against backlash of not winning it.
Personally, from a nayman's point of view, it seems the like a complete toss up as to what the verdict will be with the TAR.
Moreover, we should not forget that if we do indeed win the TAR and put Serie A into complete mess, and I fear the possibility that the league will be in tatters and may do no side any favour. It took years for English to rebuild their league after Hagel tragedy - I sense something similar is going to happen for Serie A as well.
Beside, -17 point penalty in Serie B is not an impossible task with the team we have anyway. So a decent financial package will probably do for me. Of course, it depends a lot on the offer FIGC is making. Serie A will be nice, and serves us right but I am open to other possibilities as long as it increases our chances of putting in competitive teams in later years. I feel sorry for some of the players but as fan Serie B and huge financial package to rebuild isnt too bad a proposition.
Anyhow, I would like to see Cobli and co. drag this on and play the game of brinkmanship for a while. FIGC has hell of lot more loose if this we take the case to TAR than us, and they will eventually have to offer more attractive packages.
