So U think that Milan and inter will dominate cuz we are suppose to stay in serie B 99%?
i think he means more as, who will be left in serie a besides milan and inter. roma might be the only club who could compete with them. i am not very sure about palermo, especially if they have european football also this season, while milan can concentrate on serie a. if roma find their form very early, milan are in problems cause first they have to get rid of their negative points. but if there will be just 1 or 2 teams dominating the top, then milan can get 3th position for sure. Besides inter and roma probably will rest some of their key players before CL games.

Buffon has Juve doubts Saturday 8 July, 2006

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Gianluigi Buffon admits he doesn’t know whether he’ll still be at Juventus next season and approaches a World Cup record.

The issue arose during a Press conference, when the goalkeeper was asked if Coach Marcello Lippi would remain on the Italy bench after Sunday’s World Cup Final against France.

“I don’t even know if I’ll stay at Juve, so I’m really not going to start discussing the future of other people. What I can say with 100 per cent certainty is that I am happy to be a player in this Nazionale.”

There have been rumours throughout the summer that Buffon was thinking of moving on, as Milan, Real Madrid and Arsenal were touted as the most likely destinations.

Signed from Parma for £32m in 2001 – still a record sum for a goalkeeper – his profile has been further enhanced by this World Cup campaign, in which he has only conceded once from a Cristian Zaccardo own goal.

Going into the Final with France on Sunday, he is just 65 minutes away from setting a new record for World Cup clean sheets. Buffon would beat another Italian, Walter Zenga, who went 517 minutes without conceding in the 1990 tournament.

“In all honesty, this record is of no interest to me,” he assured. “If I make it, then all it’ll mean is that I haven’t conceded for the first 65 minutes of the Final. It’s only a start, not an achievement.”

It is so sad man. Don't you think?
in a way yes, but it all depends where you born and where you started to play football. Like should a player who started his career in ukraine or switserland stay with his club, if some big clubs are interested of him, clubs who are more competitive. And dont say that thats stupid gloryhunting, cause every player likes to have success. and its not your fault if you were not born in spain or italy ;)

and i dont think it will end, Paolo has a sun. :p there always will be some loyal players.

That Ukraine stuff is reasonable, their clubs and football sucks.I think that Zambrotta ,Buffon,Cannavaro, wouldn't leave us if we stayed in Serie A,but in this new situation,I understand that, and it is totally reasonable move.

The tricky thing about these appeals is they can actually result in worser punishment just as well as they could provide relief. Apparently that prosecutor guy ( Pallazzi) will also be appealing the "lightness" of the sentences so I guess it can go any way.
I honestly however, see us getting a lighter sentence - not enough for Serie A though

players like Del Piero, Maldini etc are a dying breed. Most of the young stars coming up now r arrogant with no loyality to anyone.

What about Totti?

Chiellini said that he is staying with us and he is youngster, but to be honest he is not a world class.

of course there r the exceptions, but for the most part, they're a dying breed. It all depends on where there from. I think if they come up through the youth system, than they will show loyality.

Yea, and I have seen alot of this in my country with the advent of free agency and all.:agree: It is all business with both the clubs and the players.
Exactly, football became a business, especially with Abramovich,it totally changed the balance.

But I must agree with Shyne that there are some players(very small number of tham) which love for the club is more impotant than the money, and I agree with him that the youth system is a store for these players.
