Check your workbench. Its not just junk.

If you produce more units of water then you have population, you'll find purified water there. If you have too much food, you'll find crops
I tend to make alot of big water purifyers. Always selling tons of purified water i find in my workbench.

i'm still trying to find out how the hell i get electricity in a self build house. I usually get like 1 bulb to work
So that's why all of that stuff shows up there

The power conduits that you attach to your house only have a certain range. I pretty much line the structure with them.

At lvl 45 currently, and pretty much only spending caps on 2mm EC rounds, or building materials.
Got X01 armor, heavy combar armor, and any rifle i want, not sure where i'd spend it on otherwise
Didnt build anything for 2 days and my stash is like 11k. Just collect grenades/mines, non pipe weapons, legendaries and modded combat armor. And ammo, since it has no weight you can hoard fuckloads

So yeah. brb 5 billion light bulbs

Lately I tend to keep 5 types of ammo in my inventory; 2mmEC, fusion cell, s.shells, plasma cartridge and 50cal, while the rest is for sale, even granades. Few days ago I had couple of thousands of 5.56mm, 10mm, 308, etc... since I was hoarding the ammo since the beginning of the game. Brought me a nice earning.

My preferred weapon is Gaus, without a single doubt the most efficient weapon. Level 4/5 rifleman perk and 360dmg. Killing deathclaws for fun now. I also keep shotgun, sniper and plasma rifle. Just in case, but hardly use these. Level 46 now :nerd:

I look forward to the challenge for who makes the nicest Christmas decorations, given these new insights. I'm betting on Zach, now I'll sit back and wait.

I find it hard to choose which faction to support. All four are rather appealing and ultimately the choices you make will destroy 2 factions. As far as I got it only Minuteman remains out of the equation/unharmed, regardless of the path you undertake. What I like about the Institute is their impressive facility, openness to technology (unlike BOS who only scavenge for the existing one and opposes further breakthroughs) overall calmness of the place and genuine happiness of its inhabitants. The fact that you kid is at helm makes me lean slightly towards this faction, eventhough I resent the idea of their entire abandonment of the surface and seclusion.

Prywden is equally if not even more impressive. I mean what's not to like about gigantic floating airship with plenty of badass mofos on board? Their leader though looks rather insane, someone who'd be better off in asylum, rather than acting as a leader of powerful organization (unlike elder in F3 who seemed more balanced in his approach). In recent games I'd side with BOS (F1, F2, F3), but I hate their almost cult like odour. Still can't force myself to take them out. I feel like not playing the last mission. Urgh :wallbang:

Did we find out what those salvage bench or scrap bench things do? You can assign a settler to it but I'm not sure what it does.

salvage bench adds junk to the workshop
traders add bottle caps to your workbench
excess food adds fruit to your workbench
excess water adds purified water to your workbench

That purified water is quite huge tbh. Thats an easy 340 caps regularly

Only downside beeing that you need to make sure your defence>water+food

So if you build alot of water, you need to build alot of turrets

The fucking clear the shit for the settlers at go fuck yourself alley is just too intrusive. You can't leave it because you fail it. Fuck off. I've spent like half this game doing the same shit for these wankers, let me do some other quests. It is never ending as well add to that going to find haptic drives and buttplugs for the two cucks at the BoS base...Its just cheap and repetitive.

Seems to generate random junk items and materials.

As i've learned back in Lineage 2, grinding endlessly, ends up beeing rewarding

Two shot gaus rifle. Swapped the mods from "the last minute" onto this one. 5/5 rifleman, 3/4 bloody mess, 3/3 lone wanderor

I have loads of copper, lots of everything really, just short of aluminium to build big generators. That's easily solved with a half hour salvage mission to a couple of spots I've cleared.
