Cant attack my finished settlements

I build a two story wall with the "shack foundation" and 1 gate, wich has 2 flame turrets, 4 heavy machine gun turrets and 2 laserturrers on, a gate and a guardpost behind the gate.

Yeah that's smart but I don't even bother using people on defense posts.
The higher your defense points (vs food+water) the less likely your settlement is to be attacked, or at least thats what i've read. With that said, any time there's an attack, all settlers tend to join in the defense anyway so ya they do seem a little pointless

Size Budget Edit
These commands only affect workbenches in settlements. The easiest way to modify a settlement is to travel there and target the workbench with the console open.

The size budget is a combination of triangle counts and draw calls and is configured for each settlement. Each object the player creates in the settlement will use a portion of both in the budget, with more complex objects using up more. The budget itself is tracked as actor values attached to the workbench. Note that in order to use these actor values you must use the numeric id as they do not have a usable console name.

You can see your current usage with these commands. As these are calculated by the workbench, changing them with setav or the like is not recommended.

getav 348 - Gets the current number of triangles used by player.
getav 34A - Gets the current number of draw calls used by player.
These commands will let you change the actual budget. Increasing the values will allow you to build more.

setav 349 <value> - Set the maximum triangle budget for the settlement.
setav 34B <value> - Set the maximum budget for the settlement.
Note: The budgets are there for a reason, to keep players from building overly large settlements that could negatively impact performance. Using these commands to ignore the budgets could have consequences.

How does assigning settlers to crops even work? I have three rows of tato plants, I assign someone to them and it says they're only assigned to I think it was 5 of them. Is there a limit or something?

1. Hold down "E" when placing a wall
2. Move mouse
3. :tuttosport:

WHAT THE FUCK HOW HAVE I BUILD 5 FUCKING FUCK SETTLEMENTS WITHOUT KNOWING THIS OMFG

I would also like to know how the system works of workers and crops

i can build like 40 crops, and sometimes 1 worker does 5 of them, and sometimes just 1

Well, have to to that anyway, i was building a "shack wall " around my settlement. wich gives irritating issues all the damn time with uneven terrain.

Then i found the "shack foundation". Basically 1 square meter of concrete with a wooden top finish, that you can make from 20cm to 2 meters high. it builds over tree's and whatever that sticks trough it, so easy.
Two layers of that, and you are set

Gonna redo the walls of all previous settlements, but with what you just learned us, thats gonna go very quickly

Whoa whoa, where is this???? Paladin Danse can go fuck himself if it'll stop me from using those annoying junk walls that leave spaces that make me want to rip my hair out.

I've build every settlement like that since discovering the extreme userfriendlyness and awesome look of the shack foundation.

Here is The Slog for example, first settlement i fully build with it.
