Don't give me that shit, the engine is the same so it will look outdated nonetheless. When those huge graphic mods come out, that's another story.
It's like it was released in 2012, 2 years after New Vegas and not 5/6 after. I really think with the money/resources they have they should have built a new engine and not re use some horrible animation/character models.

Yeah I've played 'New Vegas with makeup' extensively, it's called ENB + texture mods. While that looks decent, even with mods it looks like a piece of crap compared to this. I suggest you go and play NV Vanilla again let alone mods, I guarantee you won't be saying it looks NV with makeup anymore.
I don't know lol, I've modded one gun and it was just kinda by accident that I had the stuff. Just been doing the quests and up to the one with the minutemen.

i buy a ps4 and can play about 5-6 years without the need to buy new parts
to speed up my pc. i dont have to worry bout system prerequisites and
i like to sit on my couch in front of some bigass tv.
...not to mention half of the pc players are playing with a dualshock controller.
PC has always just been a workstation for me.

Buy a really good pc and nowdays it will last you a long time, few upgrades here and there and it will last even longer.
Consoles are fun and easy. But they are inferior to PC, simple fact really. And it would be pointless to talk about graphics when you play on console, it wasn't made to look good, it was made to be easy, fun and accessible.
Oh, not saying it is a worry to buy new parts or install them. But I would not worry about graphics on consoles too then if this is the mindset.
Please stop bickering about console vs PC I am so tired of it. Some prefer PC, some prefer console. Some prefer Android, some prefer Apple. Looks great to me, and Fallout has always to me been about the experience and storytelling.
Started up the game today, only played about one hour but so far so good! But the building shit (I have seen any reviews, trailers or anything what so ever, wanted to experience the game without any pre-knowledge), I am just clueless. I set up two turrets just because I could. No idea why or where I am supposed to set 'em up. Do they stay? Set up a roof on a building, the angle was all wrong but I had no idea what I was doing anyway.

I think there should be a mission where you have to build some stuff. You can have people work for you so they will have to explain how it all works at some point in the game.
So far ive only messed around with it, scraping stuff, storing chairs and stuff i want. Not sure when should be the appropriate time to build my fortress either.
