Like their games aren't . One of the main reason why their games are the mosty buggy games around is their engine . One the main reasons to build a new one is to lower the number of bugs . There are better reasons to gen a new engine than just because , like better lighting , better graphics in general , better animations , better fucking everything .

It's like having a car and you want to enter a racing competition . First year everything is great , second year you start to modify some aspects of the car because you can't compete with the same setup . Eventually as years go by you will start to change/improve/modify and add new tech to the car until you will eventually need to ditch the car for a new one because no matter what you add you can't win . Tech goes forward so should bethesda , everything has its limits and no matter how much you optimize it , it will eventually hit it's potential , when that time comes you change it for something with better potential . The reasons why not to change an engine are purely based on budget and time to learn the new tech. Building a new engine costs a lot of money , but seeing as it's not as they lack the budget I find it difficult to understand why they don't . The only explanation is that they are too confortable to using the same old engine and don't want to jump ship to a new one and spend time to a new work bench , which is a shame because with some time and effort they could easily maximise the experience of their games .
So would you say Valve need to get a new engine to replace the Source engine? Also it's not really running on the same engine. The older engine was Gamebryo, they pretty much totally remade it to the creation engine for skyrim and now F4 is running on what is an upgraded version of that engine.

 Yes they do , they have said so themselves . At the begining they said that source engine would be an iterative engine that would never leave and simply keep evolving , but it seems that they couldn't hold that promise . They actually are building a new engine from the ground up for quite some time now which should be almost finished , Source 2 . First game released with that was the beta of Dota 2 "Reborn" released 17 june this year . And source was released in 2004 . Gamebryo has been around for more time . Creation Engine is simply an updated and rebranded version of the Gamebryo engine .

Zoso, chill man :) if it's fallout it doesn't mean it's autoamticly good, unless it's fallout 1&2 ofc :D
it does, aside probably from tactics and bos

Nah fallout 3 etc, they wouldn't die theyd just become unconscious for a bit.
I liked how in NV you could kill anyone and choose to do almost anything whereas 3 was way more linear. I hope 4 is more like NV in that regard.

I loved how you could kill children if they get too annoying and get a perk child killer. From that moment on, every other children respected you for the rest of the game.

Well I got to say that FA NV is much much better game then FA3 and much more true to the orignal fallout in terms of the atmosphare.

All in all FA3 was a very big dissapointment but NV I like so far, much more fun game too.

3 is still great but it's easy to see why someone who likes 1 & 2 a lot prefers NV. I prefer NV as well, but not just for that. I think it's just more fun, 3 is maybe a bit overly oppressive, it's amazing for that but not necessarily as fun. 3 is also quite linear in terms of main story whereas NV is probably a true RPG. The much bigger selection of weapons is also great. And the DLC, besides dead money, I hated that.

NV's atmosphere sucked balls though compared to FA3
This is true. I think generally the only area where 3 really beats NV is the map/atmosphere. Vegas mostly seems kind of boring compared to the wasteland. The strip and freeside are pretty good though, especially when you open them up with mods by removing the gates inside them (obviously not the gate to get into the strip).

Is the pip boy version seriously worth money? Cause i've reserved a copy of the regular game at Gamestop and they keep calling me asking if i want to upgrade to that version instead

Maybe not serious money, right now people are asking 250$ for it on Ebay. It cost 120$. I'm sure by release day prices are going up.

What i don't really like is that it's been available at Bethesda store since yesterday and it was on Amazon today AGAIN. I thought it was supposed to be a really limited edition. Now lots of people will have it and prices won't go as crazy as i thought.
