How far into the story are people? Just wondering how long the quest line is. I just got out of Fort hagen.

Main quest line is relatively short, like in every other Fallout game. I've been stuck in the last week on one of the last quests, since I really can't make a choice to whome to give my support. Have been finishing side quests, finding magazines and completed my bubblehead collection. Rebuilt a massive house in Sanctuary. Will post pics later. Level 50 atm.

What I didn't like is that you get power armor so easily and can use it from the very first hours of game time.

How about you guys are you walking around with the armor and find enough of the fusion cores?

I had trouble finding fusion cores early on, but if you deviate from the main quest line there are fusion cores everywhere, just need to loot every bag, container, cabinet and person you can. I've got 5 different power armours and about 30 fusion cores just doing that.

You can find plenty of fusion cores at Prywden later in the game as you progress the story line. But in general not a fan of power armor in this Fallout, and have 6 sets in Sanctuary that I rarely wore on missions, let alone while exploring the wasteland.

What kind of armors do you use if not power armor, I'm trying to go melee character, and I tried walking around without power armor, but it's very hard...

Modded parts of combat armor (level 4 of armorer perk) along with my Vault suit, but I'm sharpshooter.

It's a five part armor, or just one full body armor?

Yeah heavy modded combat armour, I also make everything deep pocketed

5-6 missions for Bos, 3-4 for Institute, 1-2 for railroad iirc, then you'll have to make a choice.

I think you need to progress further in the story line with the Institute. The next step I take will make me enemy of either Bos or Institute.

I stand corrected, did few missions for Shaun/Institute. For some inexplicable reason I thought about that kid/android at first.

Heavy combat armor is so nice.


There is also a mod that lets you equip armor over any type of cloth.


So not just over the vaultsuit or fatigues, but also costumes and tuxedos or dresses.
