Di Canio was also 30-31 when he joined West Ham IIRC, I can see the parallels.

they aren't as good as they used to be though, was a great club in the early 2000s.

I can see Quag being another Di Canio for West Ham.
I'd say Quag is better though. Even though West Ham are nowhere near the level they used to be back in the day. Same with Everton. Even Fulham for that matter are back in descent after the purple patch they hit under Houghton.

I've always had a bit of a soft spot for the Hammers, if Quag joins I'd def watch most of their matches as long as they clash with better ones (and i'd put the chin in my fantasy team)

I hate to see decent/good players leave the club, but if I had the choice, I'd much rather they went abroad. If Quag/Matri go play in the EPL I'd much prefer it to if they had to go to Lazio/Fiorentina etc. so that I could still watch in the hope that they would score

I prefer seeeing matri and quag flourish having first team football everyweek, than rust in our bench. If they are ok with it, fine... but if not is always sad to see talent being wasted. Maybe they are not WC beaters, but definitely good enough to bank the nets in any team that puts faith and continuity on them.

:agree:

if they both go to teams and get constant game time they will both go well. people give them so much crap but they are both still very good strikers.

I wish they were bought in a package deal and became a pair for some team in the Epl or La Liga. On another note, Soldado to Tottenham fell through, and AvB seemingly rates Quag. They could make a move for him. Calicomercato/TJ.

Quag at Tottenham would be nice.
