Did the incident repeat itself with that particular player? It was a match situation. We were losing that game iirc and he was the one to be subbed when he wasn't necessarily the worst player on the pitch or in attack. That's all there is to it. That cannot become an attitude problem or a player with tantrum issues. There are different in match situations with eevry player. Zizou lost his cool with Materrazzi in our WC final. That's not cos he had an attitude problem. These are heat of the moment things, and every athlete in their career is bound to go through it when the adrenaline is pumping. Do you honestly think that a bench player with an attitude problem would ever see the lights of the pitch again, that too under Conte?
Why is it that no one can post a single negative thing about Quag without you defending him?

You said it could have happened to anyone, I think the opposite. I'd say that my opinion is far more likely, since we see substitutions every game, but reactions like the one Quag had back then (thankfully) happen less than 1% of the time, regardless of how disappointed the one coming off is. That's all there is to it

Also, I'm not sure where you saw me say he has an attitude problem per se. Furthermore, while he was obviously punished the first weeks after the incident, I even literally added that I believe the air has been cleared in the meantime. Take off the Quag tinted glasses once in a while.

Unfortunately this is a bit incorrect. It is not my defense of Quag, as I come from the belief that nobody is above the team. I get slotted for being biased when I'm on the opposing side of what seems to be a heat of the moment thing.

You'll notice that there are a lot of people who have deduced there to be an attitude problem with the player which was never the case prior to that singular incident. I'm just addressing that claim. And why just Quag, this could be anyone in his place and I'd stand up for them if I believed they faced unjust criticism.

Although, it is that very same nature that's kind of gone for him as well IMO. I think a lot of people are bound to link that temperamental flaw to his outburst against Alessio, which honestly could've happened to just about anybody on the field. It was a a match situation rather than an individual atititude to me anyway. I'm not just saying this coz it was Quag.

Some other people may link his constantly asking for the ball etc etc., but I see no wrong with that. It shows the self belief of the player, and it doesn't hurt when your bench players have that kind of belief and end up with the strike rate he has ended up with this season. Not to mention some man of the match performances to boot.
I'm really enjoying our discussions, but honestly you're going to have to stop posting bits of total crap in between. That is you saying this just because it is Quag, there isn't really any point suggesting otherwise.

I didn't really comment on his game attitude, but in terms of personality he seems more likely to refuse a move or try to create a situation than Matri is. Maybe that's not saying much considering how Matri seems a very docile character.

It's true.

I dint say you said anything about his attitude. People in general have commented about his attitude problems post the incident.

I just don't see it as a bad thing that Quag is a strong character. It works for his game more than Matri being docile works for his for example. Same goes for Vucinic. I think Vucinic does better on the pitch coz he's a strong personality. It's all about belief. Don't see why we should crucify someone whose backed his belief and repaid with decent performances. It's a fallacy to think that I am defending the player in the context of this situation. Had Quag done this on the training ground, I'd say he's got an attitude problem. In game, too many variables. Heat of the moment.

He yelled at Alessio because he has a strong character. :touched:
No. He has a strong character, which is what gets him to be verbal, or stand up for himself, or project confidence that is often understood or misunderstood as arrogance. I see Quag and Vucinic as strong characters. As I do Bonnucci and Licht too.
