I think the question that we have to ask ourselves is this.

If we look at it financially, 7 million have already been paid out of pocket for both Quag and Matri's services this year.

10.5 million will be due and payable for Quag, and 15.5 will be due and payable for matri if both loans are picked up

Totalling 26 million.

Let's take worse case scenario, and both of the options are not picked up. Would Juve be able to find a SS and a bomber of the quality of matri and quag for 26 million?

Let's take this scenario.

Quag doesn't get picked up, and Matri does.

Would they be able to find a SS of Quag's quality for 10.5 million?

Now, if Matri doesn't get picked up, then there is 15.5 million that was earmarked for him that can be used for a bomber. However, how many 26 year old strikers who have experience both in Serie A and Juve will be able to be acquired at that price?

Simple economics would state that since 20% of the acquistion fees have already been paid out, that it would be very difficult for Juve to not pick up the options on one, or both, simply because of the fact that juve will still need a quality, quality Left Winger next season, as well as some more depth in the back as well.

We can do with our current strikers for next season...
LW and RW are priority for next season, then comes LB and finally a striker...
