Napoli: No discounts for Quagliarella

Napoli President Aurelio De Laurentiis says Juventus won't be getting a discount on Fabio Quagliarella this summer.

Juventus have an option to buy the 27-year-old striker once his loan deal expires in Turin at the end of this season.

Quagliarella was Juventus' top scorer before suffering a serious knee injury in January.

There have been suggestions that Juventus will use this to haggle down Quagliarella's asking price.

“I won't gift Quagliarella to Juve,” De Laurentiis said.

“Juventus general manager Beppe Marotta signed a contract. The option price is already fixed and it will remain that way.

“I am not stupid. I wouldn't make a gift of Quagliarella,” he concluded.

We can't even try to bluff here and threaten to send him back to Napoli. We already gave them 4.5m eur and De Laurentis can sell him easily to some other club for 10-11m euro. He has no reason to give us a discount.

I'd pass without a discount.

Too much of the unknown for that price. I mean he was in the form of his life for the few months he was here but there are no guarantees he will come back as good or even reach that form again.
