If, and I say if, Matri keeps scoring goals, we should sign him instead. Matri is a better goalscorer than Quag and we need a better SS next to Matri for next season. Also, the fact that we have no idea how Quag will bounce back after his injury is another reason to hesitate.

Thing is though, I'm pretty sure Del Neri and Marotta have already decided on having those two up front for next season. Quag will be the SS and Matri will be our goalscorer. I was kinda wishing for someone with a WC potential like Benzema for example.

If we don't qualify I can't see us spending 30mln euros on those two.

Even if we do qualify it would be very stupid to splash so much money on two of them IMO.

If we had to choose one, it should be Quag. It's evident by his absence how much of a difference he makes to this team. If we sign Quag, we have Toni, Iaq, Amauri and DP still. Obviously, Toni, Iaq and Amauri are not the greatest of strikers, but we have them. If we sign Matri and lose Quag, we'll still have to find another segunda as a replacement.

bredrin...both quag and matri have to stay. amauri and iaq hadda be shipped off...dp shud b playing less and tony cud get d bligh so we hav room for at least 1 centre forward (or 2 because we WILL be competing in champions league)....quag makes a big difference and im sure matri will as well..the thing i like about matri is that he is a very versatile striker...ss and primer punta...yuh dun kno we does get we injuries now and again especially d forward line..

But it screams awesomeness, to be honest. Both players has style, maybe not prolific but you can't take style away from them.

Yeah but IMO we definitely have to strengthen our defense first, the left wing position second and our strikers third. We do not have endless money. I don't know what will be the extent of our budget next summer but it will probably depend on us qualifying for the CL.

I would get Beck as RB, Tremoulinas/Taiwo as LB and Bastos as left winger. Then, Rossi/Benzema as second striker.

We also need an alternative for Aquilani. Edkal, Poli or Sahin would be nice. We will also need a backup for Melo if we chose to sell Sissoko.
