Better second half than first. Very well taken goal. Thought he grew into the game in the second half. Still can do a lot better though. I guess he's not really had much game time lately tho to hit his stride.

He really can't play football :D

But Baggio was right about Quag's character. There's something pushing him forward and making him succeed in football (after all: playing for Juventus, earning a lot, scoring solid number of goals) despite his limitations.

In matches against far too inferior opposition you can see who has the talent and who doesn't. In today's squad (midfield and attack) only Giovinco and Asamoah have that natural talent. The others are hard workers.

Marchisio has talent, he just plays like he doesn't have any balls too often.

Harsh :D

This is a actually a very contradictory view, from your own analysis in the past. When you said IiRC, after his Pescara hat trick, that you'd only see Del Piero have a touch like that in the past. Or something to that effect :p

But yea, you're right, i agree, that he's not a player that stands for natural talent. I think its got more to do with his awareness for goal and instinct. And definitely, character. As a forward specially, you've got to be very confident as a player. Just believe in your abilities whatever they are. That is probably what pushes Quag like say, maybe, it pushed DiLivio or Pepe. The thing about hard working players is that they're always more adaptable than naturally gifted ones.

Gio definitely has more natural talent but is hampered by other facets like physicality and maybe, his lack of adaptibibility.

I actually think today's game would have suited him well, Atalanta were standing off a lot, and the slick pitch with his shooting would have given Consigli a hard time. First half we tried too much intricate stuff around the area, when firing a few low around the keeper would have caused trouble.

True, although Llorente's movement and hold up play when his first touch worked, also helped the team against the way they set up their defense. It probably allowed Tevez to be more involved than he would've been, had Quag partnered him tonight. Simply coz I could see Quag playing ahead of him, without letting Tevez come into the advanced positions in and around the box.

Apparently Sampdoria is pushing for him. Rumors say they offered 8 millions.

I wouldn't let him go this season, honestly, he's so good and reliable as a sub, he's got balls, and that's what he's needed for.

I feel so safe with him on the bench or playing as a starter in random matches, especially in cups, when real starters are rested/suspended/injured... Can't say the same about Gio and Vuci, TBH, who are "unrealiablity" made as a player.
