His link up play would instantly improve if he doesn't have the urge to blast shots from everywhere around. Yesterday he tried one 50 yard shot and generally he needs to ease down with those.

This is true in part, but I think he is consciously trying to change that aspect to fit into our game better. In the last game, he took only one shot, and while it was way out, it was only coz there was nobody ahead of him. There was another moment in the same game in the first half, where he turned, and didn't have a defender on him, he was about to click, but instead spread the play out wide, coz he realised there was movement around him. I think his link up play though not the best, has improved marginally coz he wants to fit into the system and work around it, rather than against it.
