He'll be useful for Coppa Italia and once we get into CL we'll use the depth. Right now we should be trying to find a starting formation and Matri with Vuc deserve to be starting imo. He could play on the right if we want to get more attacking, but we've all seen Conte doesn't like making subs unless he has too.

Yup, good point. I'm almost 100% sure he'll be our attacker in the Coppa. And if he finds his goal scoring form again over there, we might see him get a few games in the league.
Swap talks with Armero apparently. What I don't get is, if Del Piero is forcefully retired end of this season, who is going to bak up Vucinic and Matri? When you've got a guy just as good as them, you want to want to give him up. Don't get it. I'd say you need three decent strikers minimum no matter what formation you play.
You're forgetting Quag pretty much carried this team last season when it was arguably weaker. Imagine what he would do with the kind of movement we have through our wing play and through the centre with Pirlo. I think he'd be devastating. And as much as Matri is beasting it, I think Quag and Vucinic would be probably the hardest attack to face in the league even though I'm a bigger fan of #32 than I am of Vucinic. Conte has got to give this guy a shot. Theres no doubt in my mind that if given a fair shot, Quagliarella will become a marquee player for us over the next five years.
There's a difference between being a squad depth player and playing 9 minutes in 9 games. Especially if he's aiming to play in the Euros. No good player is going to stay on the bench without even getting a chance to show how good he is. I can see him requesting a transfer in the next few weeks unless things change.
He will get his chance eventually due to injuries. Vucinic and Matri will get hurt sooner or later and although DP is really good backup so is Quagmire, as you've all said. I'm just happy that even though Vucinic is still underperforming (according to me) he's still able to make some contribution. Perhaps his standard has raised a bit. Quagmire is however a wonderful player I really hope will stay. Even if he doesn't receive a first spot he will be, as you all say, immensely valuable next year.
Of course he'll get his chances, I cant believe people's kneejerking lately.
As you said, there will doubtless be injuries, suspension and loss of form to some of our strikers, and thats when Fabio will be called upon. It's still a VERY long season ahead, patience (not Pazienza) is needed.
