who is he "the next" then? iirc he compared himself to gattuso
I think the obvious, lazy comparison would be the next Verratti. An aggressive player with skill on the ball. Not quite enough pace or overall athleticism to be a top level B2B. Probably wasted as a regista as they can offer more in open space.

Probably their best position is in a 4-2-3-1.

Although if you were to play something like Tonali-Pjanic-Pogba or Tonali-Pjanic-SMS, I think they would still work.

Yes but he would have more freedom to stay in the box all match. And Tonali can compensate for that.

What I'm trying to say is that if you are playing Tonali as a B2B, I think ideally you would want the opposite CM to be someone who gets in the box.

Are people still blinded or are they finally coming around on what a scrub Paratici is? A proper SD will typically build a squad that compliments his managers system, this guy just buys random ass players he likes. Players with styles that are too redundant with a proclivity to injury. How do you go into a season with only four wingers, one of them being Bernardeschi who is only one on paper, another being a 35 year old, with Sarri as your manager? How do you have a midfield completely void of any technical ability? What the fuck was that Danilo swap? Why get rid of Spinazzola and then immediately dump his replacement?

The list goes on. Won’t even get into the hiring of Sarri in the first place, but I bet that was his genius idea as well. The only good move this summer, De Ligt, was more Nedved. Guy needs to go.

Nedved isn't setting the world on fire either btw
