If Benatia had checked out mentally he made the right move, I know we like to look back with Rose coloured glasses but Benatia made at least one retarded mistake a game

Imagine if he wasn't there mentally
benatia was always available. he arrived to a team having bbc + rugani. suggesting that he's afraid of the competition is a completely wrong idea. he simply realized that allegri will play bonucci regardless of his performances and decided to move on. also, benatia was unreliable in his first season, but during his 2nd year, he was much more consistent. about the mistakes: does anyone else remember chiellini's blunders against dortmund and monaco? these are all humans, mistakes can happen. benatia lost koulibaly and that cost us a game against napoli, but otherwise, he produced some top performances last season.

paratici and allegri should have realized way earlier that benching benatia might have consequences. they are in touch with the squad on a daily basis, they should be aware of these issues in the squad. you can't make everyone happy, but with our injury record, letting a player like benatia go is simply fucking retarded. i won't blame the player for it.

he missed 5 games last season due to injury, and zero games this season.

also, what about his substitution, caceres and his injury record?
He was injured before he left as well

I'm not saying Caceres was the right solution, even if I appreciate him being back
It was a stop gap, we know this

He pulled up injured in warm-up when he was in the starting line-up a few games ago in Coppa against Bologna. Chiellini replaced him. Transfermarkt lists it as pubitis, though I know nothing about this injury. He was out of the line-up injured for 4 games with it before being sold.

I agree with you, though. Stupid to sell him in January, with the issues we have every winter with injuries.

sorry, guys, you're right, i forgot about that. anyway, benatia wasn't injured too much this season, he was simply benched as a tactical choice by allegri.

Id say we definitely do when all fit

Say Ramos, Varane and Nacho get injured
Who plays CB for Real?
Vallejo and putting a right back at DC (or B team player). Basically shite.

Man City: Otamendi, Mangala, Sandler
Liverpool: Matip, -
Man Utd: Jones, Rojo
Spurs: Foyth, -
Barcelona: Murillo, Vermaelen
PSG: Kehrer, Rimane
Atlético: Savic, Montero

Basically all the top teams either have 4 starters plus a back up, or 3 + 2 who are pretty solid, (except City, who can't shift Mangala). which is basically us now.
