I would imagine its because spending 20mil on a player with 6 months left on contract goes against the club financial policy. not enough of a market opportunity

Sales of Can and Pjaca have to go through, it'd be embarrassing to stay with them, lol.

The more worrying thing is our state of the midfield though. I pretty much never come here to complain but we've got three CMS that so far have shown they can do the job: Pjanic, Bentancur and Rabiot (lately). The rest is simply disappointing, how are we going to finish the season playing 3 competitions with only three somewhat reliable CMs? Dafaq is wrong with the management?

Fucking inter, a club that is financially several levels bellow us spent 20m for Erikssen, a pittance for a midfielder that would easily walk into our team, even if he was half injured and had to play only with his weaker foot until remaining of the season. I just cant understand why we didnt take this opportunity.
