He must be absolutely brilliant in training because on the majority of his appearances he's looked out of his depth, particularly in Europe.

Crazy decision to start him.
Yes, of all the youngsters he’s struggling the most for some time now. It’s okay but why does he start and not Gatti, Iling or even Fagioli who is less in form

Crazy decision to start him.
Thing is before January injury he was fine off the bench or starting, no end product in final third, but kept tempo, forward passing, excellent technique and off the ball movement. Did the basics well. Season befores spring was same.

But since January all his appearances have been varying degrees of useless. Have no idea what happend to him since that injury break. Just doing the basics wrong and losing possession nonstop.

Im starting to think its just a hype around this lad cause he comes from our academy.
Academy players will always get hyped but I can say for sure that he was a standout player, miles above peers in the teams he played for, and looked to be one of our better bets. But it shows that it's not easy to transpose it to first team football. It's why I now don't get super excited when young players show stuff in brief appearance, because when it comes to a full season with ups and downs you see the real player. To me he looks like a player realising the level he needs to be at and mentally struggling with this the longer he has gone without providing the end product he did at youth levels.

We can blame Allegri perhaps, it's a convenient one used a lot, he certainly might be better with a different coach, but reality is that he'll have to figure out the step up to this level. He won't get forever to prove himself at a club like Juve. He'll get longer because we're not currently an elite club, but if he doesn't improve in many areas the best he can hope for is a deep squad player role.

A season or two at Genoa to gain some confidence might be his best bet.

The main issue is that he's already thinking he's made it and can't be arsed. He's also extremely slow to the point of being irrelevant. He's also easily bullied off the ball. All these plus the responsibility of playing for Juve has affected his confidence. He needs to go back to the drawing room and:
  • Work on his physicality
  • Work on his speed
  • Work on his fitness
  • Work on his awareness
  • Work on his passing
  • Work on his shooting
Send him to Serie B where he will be bullied without pressure.

Continues to show no quality on the football pitch but continues to start games. His performances are beyond infuriating, his final ball and end product is without doubt the worst of all of our midfielders. The passing range of McKennie with the technical ability of Sturaro.

Send him to Sassuolo on loan as part of the Frattesi deal and see if he can cut it under less pressure. But he needs to fine tune his game before I want to see him in a Juve shirt again

there probably is a good player somewhere in him, but playing him instead of Fagioli or Pogba is total bollocks.

we have a running joke in Poland about Zieliński how he plays amazingly for Napoli yet for the national team he's mostly pretty disappointing.
The experts kept saying "he just needs to get up on the right side of the bed"
and after our former NT coach Brzeczek said in some ridiculous interview words "If Zielinski stands up one day and something clicks in his head, we will have a player that everyone in the world will envy us" it was too much and the memes like this below kept flowing

EHHH.. NOT TODAY YET

so, about Miretti, that's basically the same situation. Experts keep on saying how he just needs to make that final step and he's just useless in all games.

19 and done

i've seen it all on tuz. that's exactly why coaches try to protect young players
Well there's a reason squad places at big clubs are limited to a very few players.
You get the best chances of your life, you get to play in your favorite shirt. That's when you have to shine.
He gets this chances for what 2 years now? and he seems progressively worse with every game he plays.
If this is not the stuff of red flags that the kid isn't cut out for this thing I don't know what is.

PS done at this level. There's always Frosinone, Pisa and the likes.
