Only in Italy a 25 years old footballer is a youngster.
Thank you
Exactly..

It is ridiculous, and they keep talking about protecting a 20 years old guy... from fucking what? Himself? What are you doing with them from age 16 when they are playing at U1X teams? Nothing on the mental side?

"Age is just a number" is true since it is subjective to describe what a 20 years old man/woman experienced and what they learned from it.

Well there's a reason squad places at big clubs are limited to a very few players.
You get the best chances of your life, you get to play in your favorite shirt. That's when you have to shine.
He gets this chances for what 2 years now? and he seems progressively worse with every game he plays.
If this is not the stuff of red flags that the kid isn't cut out for this thing I don't know what is.

PS done at this level. There's always Frosinone, Pisa and the likes.
What 2 years????

Yeah I mean at this point we should give up on him, he's already 19...but hey you know that 19 year old kid that plays in France/Netherlands/Belgium? Let's throw €50M on him instead.
I don't have a problem with any of our young players, either they make it and become starters, or they don't make it and become useful rotation options. We need both and I rather have young players from our youth fill up spots than some overpaid old farts.

Unfortunately I have it on good authority that if every youth player you produce isn't immediately Mbappe then you might as well shut the whole program down. We tried

I don't see how are Allegri and Bonucci relevant to what you said. You called Gatti a youngster.

And I'm right, only in Italy (which includes fans of Italian teams, such as you and me) Gatti is considered a youngster. He'll turn 25 next month.
So what he turns 25 next month? Isn't it possible to improve as a player after certain age due to gained experience? Or are you concerned that since he's 25 and not 21 we won't get to utilize his services longer? Rugani came to Juve when he was younger and how did that help him? Same for De Sciglio, he started playing for Milan when he was very young and so what? Then look at Luca Toni. When he was 25 he was still playing for Brescia. He didn't play for a top club before he hit 30. Didn't stop him from becoming a legend and a world champion.

Yeah, Gatti is only “older” in age, because there are teenagers more experienced than him. He’s already made significant leaps, and that was in the middle of his first season at top flight. No reason to think he won’t continue to improve. Capping (or not capping) a players ceiling based purely because of age is dumb. Experience is more relevant.
