What's up with these remarks by Capello? He's been talking alot about his time at Juve as of late, when the bigger issue to him should be his future considering his time at Real might be coming to an end

He must be going through some mid-life crises or something :D

Well, Capello's never really been a man of the present, let alone future. Just look at his tactics :D

Nah. Just slipped in the tub and hit his head. This happened to him a few seasons ago at Roma... he kept asking for Franco Baresi.

So, Don Fabio has declined coaching offers in Russia & the USA, preferring to remain in Italia, pursuing a new career in tv! He looks likely to join Rai as an "opinionista." The word itself needs very little translating, but in this case we are led to believe he will be a co-commentator, not only on football, but other sports too. We'll probably also be "graced" with his opinions on shows like Domenica Sportiva, & love or loathe the guy, he does know about football!

Capello takes the mic
Thursday 19 July, 2007

Fabio Capello will spend this season in the stands as a television pundit, but Arrigo Sacchi hints at a return to the bench.

Following the first dismissal of his career, former Real Madrid Coach Capello was left looking for a new post.

He confirmed this week that he rejected offers from CSKA Moscow and the United States, so he will take a year out to commentate for Italian State television RAI.

This is not the first time Don Fabio has taken such a step, as after his last spell in Madrid – which also ended with a Liga title victory – he also spent a season as a media pundit.

Capello is not just a commentator on football, as during the 2006 Winter Olympics in Turin he was in the booth for some ice hockey games.

While one Coach takes a break to work in television, another may be making the opposite journey.

Former Milan, Parma and Italy tactician Sacchi told ‘Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli’ that he is considering a return to the bench.

“If there is a team with humble players and healthy plans, then why not? If not as a Coach, then perhaps in a directorial role.”

Sacchi gave up management mid-season at Parma in 2001 under doctor’s orders, as he was suffering from anxiety attacks and heart problems.

This month magazine ‘World Soccer’ named his Milan side of 1989-90 as the best club team of all time. In that season they won the Champions League, Intercontinental Cup and European Super Cup.

You'll get to hear him complain that he doesn't like our brilliant open, attacking football and how he can't believe we can play with just one DM. :D

And you would probably hear Capello 10 minutes after Camoranesi entered the pitch: "Oh shit, ten minutes have passed. Take him our Ranieri! What's taking you so long?!! " :D

At the very least he is smart. He can now wax lyrical about Juventus because he knows there is a better chance of him managing Juventus than Inter. Funny how throughout his stay at Real madrid when he still thought he had a job at Madrid, I never heard him talk once about Moggi and co. Well timing they say is everything. He is a damned sight better than our board who just utter words without any forethought whatsoever. No matter how succesful he has been in the past, I do not want him anywhere our club. He was sacked at madrid because of the big picture, yes they won the league, but Barcelona threw it away, you counterbalance that with him getting players moaning and leaving like Beckham and Ronaldo (thats a lot of money that Real Madrid have lost) and the style of play which the supporters did not appreciate. Its all about the big picture. We are talking about a championship in which the champs lost 8 times in the league, Sevilla that came third lost 9 times. Valencia qualified for cl despite losing 12 times. None of their teams qualified for the semis of cl, by quarters, only Valencia was left and even they qualified without winning any of their 4 games against Inter and Chelsea. So it was not a vintage La Liga, yes he won again but like sacchi alluded, it is always because some other team has helped him do so. Of all his titles down the years, the 1 I willalways respect him for is the Roma one because he deserved that wholeheartedly even if Ancelotti's juve was his competition and Milan was in the doldrums
