Italy being dumped out of the Confed cup is just what the doctor ordered.
That is actually by far the best part of Italy's elimination. Our boys get the much needed rest.

And also, our directors (hopefully) saw that we should look for new players elsewhere, not in the azzurri camp.

Well we atleast know we were right even before this pathetic "improvement".

It's going to be a rough season with Cannavaro/Legro in the middle. Then we'll probably have an old Grosso covering up the left side, or worse Molinaro the clown. Don't let me get started with the right side of the defence. Let's hope we'll make decent buys.

Doesn't seem that way if you look at our history with this management and the rumours going around right now. Every defensive buy we made failed.

This might sound ridiculous from me, but I'd rather keep Moli on the left than spend any money for Grosso. That guy is a greasy piece of crap who is overrated.

I'd rather just get somebody better to partner Giorgio.

If Grosso can perform somewhat near his NT performance, he would be far better than Molinaro. But the thing is that he havn't done it and we won't find out after we've bought him :)

I haven't seen this guy play in a while but I'm a bit worried, this guys lack of height was pretty obvious during the Conf cup.

To suggest that our team would be stronger this season with molinaro playing instead of Grosso is lunacy. Either there is something very personal against Grosso involved in such a ludicrous statement, or, you don't understand football.

The fact alone that Grosso can pass the ball makes him a massive improvement, and I have never thought that Molinaro was a decent tackler, as he relies on pace more than technique or anticipation, to make challenges, whereas Grosso can use other abilities which we expect of defenders.

Chiellini needs rest. Cannavaro needs time to adjust to OUR team.

Having only seen highlights of the match last night, its hard for me to judge the Chiellini/ Canna combination accurately...but the result is not enough for me to assume we have actually weakened in central defence, at Juve.

If he plays poorly for Ciro, he will be dropped and Legro will get his chance, or perhaps Ariaudo, or perhaps Santacroce...

OUR team doesn't need to be hijacked by the Azzurri, a side that is nothing more than a pimple prick on the butt of world football.

Screw CUNT, get somebody better, like Tasci.
