If we sign this used to be, it mean that we are not going to add another quality CB in our team.
Canna will add nothing to this team. At this age and form he is hardly good for Napoli. Since we already recalling Criscito, i think its a very bad move.
Criscito will not be given any chances to Molinaro's position and will also have minimal chances to partner Chiellini if Legro, Mellberg and then Canna will be available...
We dont need another cheap, washed up defender, we need to start investing in our D-line!! No more empty promises and quick fixes!!

Cannavaro done deal?

Say whatever you want but Cannavaro is so much better then Mellberg,Legro.

Cannavaro-Chiellini could be great.. and a winning team must have a good defence.. something we have lacking

Anybody who voted for, probably doesn't watch the Liga. It doesn't matter how good he was in the past, fact of the matter is, he's been shit for two years now, absolute shit. How anyone would want him is frankly beyond me.
Couldn't the same have been said about him before we initially signed him from Inter? Sure he was a little younger then, but I still think he'd be better than most of our current defenders.

Sign him on as a squad player for his experience IMO

I can't see Cannavaro being signed as a "squad player".. If he does come, he'll start all the matches he can (well the big ones anyway) and will be a vital player in our starting eleven, allbeit only for one year untill he retires or whatever. He isn't coming to Juventus to sit on the bench as a squad player like Salihamidzic

Double Swoop For Juventus

Legendary Italian club Juventus remain keen on signing Fabio Cannavaro and have pinpointed another possible target in their quest in signing defensive reinforcements.

Cannavaro's agent Enrico Fedele told Italian Radio Kiss Kiss that Real Madrid have received a fax from the Italian club asking permission to discuss terms with the Azzurri captain, and the negotiations remain ongoing. The former Juventus player's contract expires this Spring in Madrid but would likely have to take a pay cut to sign with the Turin giants.

Juventus are also reportedly interested in signing Madrid teammate Michel Salgado. Speculation persists that the Turin club have hijacked the plans of Al Rayyan to take Il Due to the Qatari League as their major signing. Alessio Secco, the Juventus transfer manager, is reportedly keen on finding defensive reinforcements for the central and right defensive slots, with Salgado fitting the bill as a stop-gap measure.

It was reported earlier in the week that Salgado would likely sign for Al Rayyan in a 10 million € deal, but with first team football possible for Il Due in Turin, the Qatari club will face stiff competition.

Salgado, 33, has over 250 appearances for Los Galacticos, but has found it difficult to crack the first team since the arrival of Sergio Ramos.
