Top stuff!

They could've taken a handy backyard science tip and used salt to make the cooling even more extreme :)

overclocking computers generates a lot of heat.

Normally people use expensive cooling systems to solve this problem, but these guys put the computer in a freezer, filled it with booze, and managed to get the system to run at 10x its normal speed

That is very cool. Sorry, pun not intended.

So, what would happen if I tried this with a 2.2GHz pentium?
you'd probibly find yourself at an appliance store shopping for a new fridge.

I saw that. Bah, editing what you say. Cowardly, dastardly even. Also, possibly unpatriotic and an indication of satanism.

Naturally, I wouldn't try it with my fridge. :) I have access to liquid nitrogen.

John, I say go for it. What's give or take one computer? ;)
Maybe I should try it too, since according to Majed I'll have 3 left anyway :)

I could do that at school, they'd never notice one box is missing. :D But I don't have liquid nitrogen :(

Talk to the school of physics. There's always one barmey old professor (promoted, no doubt, to get him out of someone's hair thirty years ago) who's up for a bit of experimentation.

Actually I've got a video where they use liquid nitrogen to drive a P4 upto insane speeds. I've since lost it though :(
