Why do you guys wanna be a part of the European Union anyways? Forget that!

We will have our own union in the Caucasus and Central Asia.

Eu isn't that bad. I'm able to study everywhere in Europe, I'll be able to work in every EU country, without having to ask a permit to anyone.

I can travel through Shengen-countries without having anyone to ask me questions.

I can pay in Euro's in most countries

...
...

people complain a lot about the EU, but forget to see the good parts of it.

As for Turkey/armenia ,... I wouldn't want to hurt you guys, but don't count on getting into the EU, at least not before 2030...

Yes and no idea. Thats kinda what I set the thread up for. Anyone know how you "belong" to the EU?
You belong to the E.U. by being a citizen of a country that's in the E.U. For instance, I'm a citizen of the Netherlands, and as such, belong to the EU.

Is anyone else pissed off that Catalunya is not a full member state?

catalunya isnt exactly a country.
Are you kidding me? Catalunya is as much a country as Cyprus, Belgium, or Austria. Hell, Catalunya has it's own language, culture, national history, and government. Just becuase the Imperialists in Madrid claim sovereignty should not deny Catalans their rights.

So is Chechnya, Kurdistan, Palestine, Tatarstan, South Osetia or Pridnestrovye. Just because you have your own language/culture/history doesn't make you an independent state.

But you're right about Spanish Imperialism. I wish Catalunya was independent. Its people come closer to their independence twice a year- during a faceoff with the Spanish- at Nou Camp and Santiago B.

Thanks to the EU, I am able to work every month in any city within the EU and I am doing it.
Thanks to the EU I just moved to the Netherlands without having to apply for it in any way, no visas, not even a passport check and I'm legally entitled to being here for as long as I could possibly want to.

What about the Basques? Are the two groups [nations?] analogous?
