Yeh, lest play cheesio with melo. Pepe must just try to bring the very least offensively and focus on maintining the mid stable. Let the offensive to be supplied by melow and krasic.

Good ol' DP and Amauri upfront...

Man Amauri for the love of god SCOFRWEEERREWWW

The Melo/Momo combination in the middle must be avoided at all costs. So the central pair MUST be Melo and Marchisio. Krasic needs to pay us back for his avoidable error recently...If we have no other winger, Lanza still injured I assume???? And no primavera left winger who could come in????? then i suppose it must be Pepe...as Grygera goblin is also injured??? Or give Sali a chance...

Motta Bonucci Chiellini Sali/Grosso/primavera left back???
Krasic Melo Marchisio Pepe
Libertazzi DP

can bonucci play LB? if he can, then its better if our defence be like:
Bonucci - Chiellini - Leggro - Motta
*assuming that chiellini is available

If Chiellini's available, I wouldn't be shocked to see....

Motta - Bonucci - Legro - Chiello

Krasic - Melo - Marchisio - Pepe

DP - Amauri

If Giorgio's not fit, Pepe's probably going to be playing at FB, Marchisio will be wide, Momo & Melo in the middle (which is probably what's going to happen).

Edit: actually, I would almost guarantee that Melo & Momo will be at CM. Delneri has said that they complement each other, and we've seen it enough times already to know that he's comfortable with it. If Chiellini is healthy, Pepe could start from the bench.

I want to see Pepe play as left back. I saw a few good signs in the Milan game. He can't be blamed too much for Zlatan's goal. It was obviously a mismatch. If Pepe is going to be any use to this team, it's going to be in that position.

Sometimes I feel Europa league is just a drag. It gives us injury scares and it's rewards are really a joke. I wouldn't even mind seeing primavera play instead. But I guess a lot is expected from Juve so..

I think we should use this midfield.

Krasic-Felipe Melo-Marchisio-Pepe
If you bet on this midfield, then what kind of defence would you choose?

It`s pretty clear that we are in difficult situation here with all these newly injured players so Delneri should play some players out of their natural positions. One of them is Pepe, and Delneri said:

We can try Simone Pepe at full-back as a temporary solution. Simone has great qualities when adapting himself in emergencies. Juve is worker-like in spirit and strength. There is a great capacity to adapt..."

Mind you that if Chiello is not fit for Salzburg, then the only player, that can play at our left back is Pepe. Even if there`s a chance for Giorgio to play, if he`s not 100% fit and fully recovered, he should be given a rest and return vs Cesena at the end of the week. When Chiello is ready, he can play as a left back and allow Pepe to play as a winger, as we have only him and Krasic there, Lanza and Martinez are both injured... But still, I think that Pepe will be our emergency left back, and Marchisio will be our 1st choice left winger.

For the games in Serie A, there is a possibility of bringing Grosso and Salihamidzic back to the first team and play them/one of them until january, but for Europa League we cannot do that, as they are not registered in the competition.

So, I am pretty sure that Delneri will start with that defence:
Pepe - Legro - Bonucci - Motta

Our midfield will be:
Marchisio - Momo - Melo - Krasic

And most probably Del Piero and Amauri will lead our attack.

Motta-Bonucci-Chiellini

Then it's a bit tougher, because I don't know the status of Grygera. If he's not ready, then I guess it will be someone younger. Or Traoré, I was under the impression that he would return to action soon?

They are both (Grygera and Traore) still out injured, but they have to be on their feet in about two weeks. In Tuttosport there is an article suggesting that Delneri would call some of our Primavera players for Salzburg and test them, the boys who play as defenders, mentioned are Camilleri, De Paola, Ferrero and Livieri, if it`s someone younger, then I guess it should be De Paola for the left back, as he is a left footed defender, Camilleri and Ferrero are both centrer-backs and Livieri is... I dont know what kind of player he is, I know he is versatile player, but what is his preferred position I do not know....
I really really want to see players like Giandonato, Boniperti, Buchel, Libertazzi, Gianetti in action, I hope Delneri will give someone of them a proper chance to shine vs Salzburg, with all these injuries in our squad, this is the time for our youngsters.

I'd say so.

I think he'll be motivated enough to score at least 2 goals and assist another :xfinger:

I think Pepe will be played at the LB, our midfield will be Krasic - Melo - Momo - Marchisio

But I really hope that Del Nieri will try some new young players from Primavera and call back Grosso or Sali. Maybe we will see Grosso at the LB and Pepe on the left of midfield :D
