Strange really, how everybody is obsessed about England national team apart from most English people, sad really.

I agree, but come to England and speak to the majority of football fans, and see if they overrate them as much as the media do. It certainly does not happen.

Hence why I rarly gloat and speak about my home nation, you would get so much stick here its untrue.

True, but no matter how the team plays, sometimes the names of the players in that team will attract your attention.
Maybe i'm wrong, but the English or some other EPL followers who know all the Irish players well, will find the Rep. of Ireland less boring than You and me.

Italy are boring indeed, but with so many well familiar faces, they'll get your attention.
Also, Italy are one of the most loved but at the same time most hated teams, so people sometimes watch them just so they can jeer them and hope they lose.

I'm an EPL follower, and i tell you Ireland are as boring as you say they are.

I'd rather be watching flair players in the WC like Benzema, Nasri, Gourcuff and Ribery than watch the likes of Hunt, McGeady, Lawrence and Andrews.

Ireland have a couple of interesting players, but neither will play i guess.

Ireland and Duff are interesting players.

I don't like the English NT, but lately i've been getting the feeling that they are more underrated than overrated.

We will have to see this summer, Croatia have been very poor in qualifying so under Capello England are yet to face any top class opposition in a competitive match. England look very good heading into South Africa but their overconfidence will bite them in the ass, I doubt they will get past the quarterfinals

I agree that domenech is a complete fool but even when he doesn't select the right squads and tactics he still has far more talent at his disposal than Ireland. Trap is a much better coach than Domenech but even with Domenech's B rate France team he has far better players than Ireland can field

Unfortunately you are right, France are much stronger than Ireland and they are clear favorites, but if they were to lose I don't see why it would be bullshit, they failed to top their group and would only have themselves to blame for a play offs exit
