But it's not like Italy is any better nowadays.
True, but no matter how the team plays, sometimes the names of the players in that team will attract your attention.
Maybe i'm wrong, but the English or some other EPL followers who know all the Irish players well, will find the Rep. of Ireland less boring than You and me.

Italy are boring indeed, but with so many well familiar faces, they'll get your attention.
Also, Italy are one of the most loved but at the same time most hated teams, so people sometimes watch them just so they can jeer them and hope they lose. :D

Ah true. :D I still watch them play almost every time but because of the reasons you just said. Still, it's been a while since I enjoyed their football.

France, Russia, Ukraine and Bosnia. These are the teams i want to go to South Africa.

Greece and Ireland are too boring, Slovenia weak and boring, while Portugal...beh, shame Portugal got Bosnia. I don't like Portugal but they're an attractive side with great players. On the other hand, i like Bosnia so i want them to go to SA.
And it would be great if Bosnia and the USA got to play each other so as to resolve a wee ongoing dispute. :D

Will the yellow cards the players received in the qualification count in the play-offs? If so, we're screwed. I'm guessing they will count, making this even harder then it already is.

I just hope we dont lose the away game by more then a 1 goal margin. At home we have the ability to outscore them. I expect high scorelines in both games.

Defeated by a country rated much lower than you are (Lithuania).

Bah, Croatia is the only country in top 10 that won't play at the world cup.
Or maybe not.
I'm looking at you, Portugal.
Yea I just saw. I had no idea it was that strict but I just saw Russia.

USA 11
Switzerland 13
Cameroon 14

How?

I've seen them 3 times. I still can't forget the first time. That was by far the most boring display from a NT at a WC and the most boring group ever.
The second time wasn't much better. 2002 was ok, but nothing special.
94??? was a great buzz
2002 was magical

i wasnt alive for 90 but that performance from debutants was astounding,

if might not be entertating all the time but the whole experience of Ireland at the world cup is more entertaining than most countries espicially the french, bunch of limey douches

Not to say it too soon, but good vibes for ze future of Swedish football, apparently Mister Sven Göran "I'll love me some punany" Eriksson is very close to becoming the New coach of Swedens NT. Thats real good news.

I don't know why people care about the FIFA Rankings. They are at times more whacky than any random IFFHS listing. With regards to the US, we got a lot of points I assume from winning the CONCACAF top spot in WC qualifying, along with making two finals during the summer (Confederation and Gold Cup). Of course, we probably shouldn't be ranked number 11 in the world with Mexico, Serbia and Paraguay many spots behind, but we certainly shouldn't be out of the top 20. Anybody who thinks that has an obvious agenda.
