I dont hate the US, honestly. I do like the rivalry that has been created here though, it gives that bit extra.

This result is by no means negative in the current situation. Our team was getting a bit too relaxed and have hopefully woken up now. There were also lots of positive things to take from this match. We created a lot of chances and have proven that we have a nice attacking force. The 3-man defense worries me though.

I dont fancy our chances in the play-offs if we draw France or Portugal. I think we can take Greece and Russia though.

There are some nice rivalries here, but the two most hated teams are probably Italy and the US.

I would love to get France instead of Greece and Russia, Russia is probably most dangereous opponent we could get, while against France we can hope for something. Ivica Osim also said that France would be best we could get, he said that we can't loose to much against then while we cean gain big and I think he is right. France is not compact and organised team like they used to be, unlike Russia. Still whoever we get we are big underdogs and defence will need to step up if we want anything in play-offs.

I agree with the rest of your post, and even we lost tonight i think that we played almost good, we had some decent chances, we wasted them and Spain punished us. Still most of goals we conceded were purely defensive mistakes, which bring us to tthe first point and that is our defence sucks (except Spahic). I still have high hopes on this team!!!

Yup, the defence has always been our weak spot. It's nice to see all the attacking talents our country is producing (watch out for Stilic), but we barely have 2 good defenders. Spahic is great, Nadarevic is pretty decent, but not consistent. I'm still hoping some youngster will emerge like Vidic, Ivanovic and Subotic have for Serbia.

About the play-offs, yeah I think you're right about Russia being dangerous, but I still see France as the toughest draw. That's mostly because of the individual class that they have. Seeing our defence tonight, Ribery would have a field day against them.

It would be such a shame if we dont make it after such a good qualification serie. And I still think it's unfair that teams will be seeded. They should have looked at the points the teams got in the qualification and then divide them in 2 pots and not by Fifa ranking, because it's about the present qualification and not about results in the past.
