Belgium 2 - 0 Armenia

Belgium dominated the match quite easily but failed to accelerate and overrun the Armenians when needed. The two goals (Sonck, Fellaini) came from a combination of luck and horrendous Armenian defending.

With 2-0 at half time, the second half seemed quite unnecessary and got very boring. Belgium seemed to be thinking of next match already (Spain!) and gave away some unnecesary chances, but Stijnen barely had to catch a difficult ball.

All in all, okay display by the Belgians against a compact opponent. Good game by Dembélé (very hard working, technical and strong forward) and Sonck (clinical). The rest didn't really impress, but there seems to be a team being built there, which must be positive.

Wednesday is the big test against the European champions. If we can get something out of this match we will be on the right track. But I still believe qualifications will be hard to achieve.

Germany played a very good first half and just defended in the 2nd where the russians were again wasteful. Also Adler looks like a very good goalkeeper for the future. IMO he will only get better with experience.

The defense's situation has to be sorted out, but i think this the best pairing atm with merterascker and westermann. Also maybe bring either hinkel or pander to put a bit of pressure on lahm and fredrich.

Podolski was very imo and surprising Klose too. I also thought Torchowski was decent but i don't like how Loew did not call up Marin because there aren't many wingers in the squad. Nonetheless, it was a big win. Playing 2nd place wales next.

Belgium played a brave match against the Spanish today, they really didnt deserve to lose. But the Spanish NT is just too good, they pass the ball better than any team out there.

Belgium has some interesting youngsters though. Fellaini and that guy Witsel or something both impressed me.

Indeed, we didn't deserve to loose and the first goal from Spain, although nicely finished, shouldn't have been made but Fellaini made just one mistake, it was an expensive one.
