There's no such thing as a meaningless game, there simply are ones that are more important that others but that doesn't make the less important ones by any means meaningless.

I disagree.
We need to gain coefficient points. For us, not for serie A. The Chievo match is surely more important than the coefficient, but we shouldn't simply give up in Europe.
Del Piero is not a starter anyway so he should at least get playing time in this match. We should at least play the second best team we have and Del Piero is part of it. He's actually, imo, the best player of our B squad.

Good post, the only thing I disagree with is Del Piero being a B squad player, while actually he is a sub for A squad, we need his inspiration from the bench, to act as an assistant coach and later on as a player/inspirator/manager so when our team looses some focus in 80th minute we can throw him out there so he can grab as points in league. He is essantial coming off the bench for our A squad.
