Gary Twigg, Rovers player:

Our aim in the first-leg was to keep it at 0-0 for as long as possible and try and take a good result to Italy, but unfortunately we're going over there on the back of a 2-0 defeat. But we'll go over full of confidence and try to enjoy the experience and see where that takes us. It was a massive step up against them. Their movement, touch on the ball, the way they defended was unbelievable.

Playing against that level of competition is only going to help me as an individual and it's not everybody who can say they've been over to Italy to play Juventus in Europe. The manager spoke to me about going to Shamrock with him when I was at Brechin and he talked about wanting to take the club into Europe on a regular basis.

"When he said that, I didn't think about playing teams like Juventus but I think it vindicates my decision to come over to Irish football."

There is a pretty long list of players not called up. Zebina, Grosso, Sali, Poulsen, Felipe Melo, Tiago, Giovinco, Camoranesi, Martinez. Are we not counting on them or some are injured?
