I can only hope the next team we play in the qualifiers dont have as many annoying troll fans.

A lot of the rovers fans that came on here were annoying but i would not say they are a reflection on all rovers fans.

i know people on here were pissed at the "same old juve always cheating" but this is just football banter and chants and no real offense was meant by it as del piero said himself he really enjoyed his time in dublin.
Del Piero thanks Dublin fans Saturday 31 July, 2010

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Juventus captain Alessandro Del Piero has publicly thanked the Shamrock Rovers fans for their Europa League welcome.

The Bianconeri won 2-0 in Dublin for the first leg of the qualifying round on Thursday thanks to an Amauri brace.

“It went exactly like we wanted it to go. The win in the first round against the Shamrock Rovers makes it easier to advance to the next round, we just need to remain focused also in the second leg,” he wrote on his official website, alessandrodelpiero.com.

“It was nice to play in a stadium like the one in Dublin, very small, less than five thousand people crowded it completely...

“But I can assure you that they made us feel their presence, oh yes, they did. During the whole match they were cheering their team, despite the result.

“Pure passion, really nice ambience, the experience of times gone by! I was happy to be there.

“I’m grateful to the Irish fans for a standing ovation they reserved for me when I entered the fray. I also thanked them after the game through the local journalists that interviewed me.”

The second leg of this Europa League tie will be played in Modena on August 5, because the Stadio Olimpico in Turin is booked by U2.

“People know well my passion for U2,” continued Del Piero. “Dublin is his home, and we won there, but I’m quite sure that Bono will win at our home, the Stadio Olimpico, in just a couple of days.

“It will be a success! You just can’t miss it..

Pepe really disappointed me in the first leg time and time again he was afraid to take on the rovers fullbacks when he was in one on one situations yeah he got in some nice crosses but he passes the ball backwards 90% like a defensive midfielder

I think if Juve can be bothered, they will win with a few goals to spare. They might go out to just get 1 or 2 and then knock the ball around and conserve energy though.

Not saying that it will happen but is mauling a semi-pro or any professional side unethical esp. in a competitive game.

The biggest win I can remember in recent years was Juve putting 7 passed Olympiacos.

*Btw, I do not wished for Amauri to used up his goals here ...

Not at all, its a professional sport you're supposed to do as well as you can. If you can't handle losing then you shouldn't be competing with the big teams.

I think Trezeguet will start for this one, since he didn't play in the first leg.
