Nice, solid, low-key performance.

No risks run, minimum amount of energy expended and Trez got some minutes in his legs.

The whole team was very disciplined and kept the shape very well. Shame that the front three never really managed to link up and retain possession in the second half, though.

Chiellini and Legrottaglie were very solid.

Has Legrottaglie done enough to keep Cannavaro out of the team?

I hated it. I hated the typical Italian attitude that will certainly cost Italy a CL place. Every point means a lot, especially for us because we lost so many points for not playing in Europe for 2 years. Every point is precious for us, but for some reason, even at 0:0 in 90th minute, we play all defense and don't even think about scoring.

Where were you whole fu#king day? I needed help with statistics and absolute frequency. :p

well done? are you joking, or what? yes, we are through, but what an embarassing performance. shit team, full of good players!!
Yeah the players should have ran their hearts out each and every second of the match to get an unnecessary goal against an Ajax who actually showed us what an "embarrassing performance" was. Pathetic team, no desire or spirit.

I'm delighted Zaccheroni was concerned about the Palermo game.

Good to see Diego subbed. He looked out of sorts. He should realise that there will always 3 guys surrounding him so he needs to act fast.

yeah, lets better look for the good of italy than securing the next round ... who would actually think so as coach ?

A clean sheet. :wee:

The mentality we had in the second half was pure idiotic though.

MOM Melo again for me. Close 2nd De Ceglie.

I see what you are saying, but what if Ajax score on a counter when we don't really need to attack? Juve won the away game which is enough in terms of points, but the result and game situation has to come first. People were talking up Mourinho yesterday for doing exactly the same, you play to the condition that the match dictates, co-efficient points will be the last thing on the mind of a coach.

The main problem tonight was that Juve were just too poor on the counter, this is because Trezeguet does not suit that tactic, you need mobile forwards and Amauri is a better fit.
