We should of parked it after the equaliser but to be honest at 1-1 it looked like we were going to win it. Woeful defending for the goals and we should of been more clinical to finish our attacks

If Benfica play like they did for most of the second half next week, we will get the better of them. 2-1 isn't too bad of a result.
Considering how Benfica played today, 2-1 is a horrible result. They were missing 4 regular starters and were totally lost in most of the second half. Our coach decided to fall back and defend the draw and put on Osvaldo for Tevez and leave Llorente on the bench.

Few remarks:

- once again, Bonucci proved what an embarassment it is for Italian football and Juventus to play him in Europe. Unbelievable. Until when will Conte insist in that guy?

- Pirlo in Europe is horrible. Huge liability. Him and Bonucci should ride the bench. Field a 433 with Asa-Pogba-Vidal in the middle.

- Vucinic was Vucinic. Good build up play, no killer instinct at all. Not good enough. But I don't think any other striker would have made a difference in the end.

- Vidal absence... fucking huge. We lose so much juice without this guy.

- We are not better than Benfica. Both teams are good, none is spectatular.

- We are a loooooooooooong way from being competitive in Europe. Very worrisome. Let's see if Conte will manage to take this team to the next step. Huge "if".

- Squad must really improve. Our bench was beyond shit today. No real options for Conte to try to change things.

We lost against an average team and expected them to be much better then this. I was still wondering how on earth we lost to Galatasaray and the first half of this game reminded me again. The only difference was that we conceded in the last 5 minutes in that game, and in the second in this one. Honestly the second half was quit good and had more opportunities to score after our goal but unfortunately the team decided to sleep again and conceded in the moments we were in total control. The thing is, we will probably go through to the final as i'm expecting us to beat them with a margin at home but would we have put up such a performance against the top 8 of the CL, let alone the top sides of yesterday, we would have been eaten alive.
